# Booking tours

The tour bookings feature on makana.com allows you to inspect heavy equipment before making a purchase. Whether you're across town or across the globe, our virtual tour option lets you view and inspect machines remotely via video call. This ensures you get all the details you need, without having to visit the yard in person.

For those who prefer a more traditional approach, on-site tours are still available, but our virtual tours offer unmatched convenience, enabling you to see machines in real-time, ask questions, and get a close look at the equipment- all from the comfort of your location.

**How to make an appointment?**

Booking a tour is simple. Navigate to the product page of the machine you're interested in. From there, follow these steps:

* Click “Book free tour”
* Choose the type of appointment: on-site (physical) or virtual (online)
* Set the date and time that fits your schedule

Once confirmed, you’ll receive a confirmation email with the appointment details, including the link to a Zoom call for virtual tours or map directions for on-site visits.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://makanaauctions.gitbook.io/support.makana.com/booking-tours.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
