Making offers
Negotiate prices directly on selected items
For equipment with negotiable pricing, makana.com allows users to make an offer directly from the product page. Here's how the process works:
Select the "Negotiate" tab: On the product page, click "Payment options", then select the "Negotiate" tab.
Make your offer: After selecting "Make offer", input your desired offer amount (must be greater than 25% of the listed price). Click "Submit offer" to send it for review. You’ll need to be signed in to make an offer. If not signed in, you'll be prompted to log in or register.
Email confirmation: Once the offer is submitted, you’ll receive a confirmation email detailing your offer.
Track your offer: You can track the offer status from your user account page, where you can view details, withdraw the offer, or revise it.
Offers are typically reviewed within 2 business days. The offer can be:
Accepted: You’ll receive instructions to complete the purchase.
Rejected: You’ll have the opportunity to submit a new offer or withdraw.
Countered: The seller may return with a counter-offer, which you can accept or withdraw.
Once your offer is submitted, makana.com verifies your account and sends the offer details to the seller (if applicable). The seller can:
Accept: If the offer meets their expectations.
Reject: If the offer is too low.
Counter-offer: Propose a new price, which you can either accept or decline.
